eduroam certificate renewal – How to stay connected!

On January 18, 2027 we will replace the eduroam server certificate. Please take a few minutes to ensure that you can continue to connect to the campus network with all your devices without interruption after the change.

Did you set up eduroam with geteduroam on or after August 3, 2026?
Then you don’t need to do anything else – the profile provided to you since then already contains all the necessary settings for the upcoming certificate change.

Did you set up eduroam before August 3, 2026, or are you unsure?
Then please set up eduroam again before January 18, 2027 with the geteduroam app. This will ensure your device receives the current configuration and is optimally prepared for the certificate change.

Welcome to TUconnect, the TU Braunschweig university portal.

If you are an applicant, please switch to the Applicants tab to register and apply for admission at TU Braunschweig.

If you are a student, you can log in with your y-number. Customize your personal start page for easy access to all of the relevant functions, information and documents for your studies.

As an employee from faculties, institutes, examination offices, the Enrollment Office and the International House, you can use different functions and complete tasks after logging in with your GITZ employee ID (depending on your role).

If you work for an external party, such as an insurance agency, you can verify the authenticity of enrollment certificates submitted to you here. You will need to enter the verification key printed at the bottom of the certificate.

The English translation of TUconnect is currently under construction and may still be incomplete in some parts. In case of doubt the German version is the legally binding one.
